Job Description
Estimator – Modular Construction (Rental Division)
Location: Brandesburton | Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + excellent benefits
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading company in the modular construction sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their Rental Division.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward-thinking business, supporting their pre-construction team by preparing accurate tenders, quotations, and cost plans for a variety of modular projects. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Pre-Construction and play a key role in delivering competitive proposals and supporting client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and validate pricing and technical information.
- Prepare detailed contractor proposals based on designs and client briefs.
- Support the pre-construction and sales teams to develop competitive bids.
- Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Candidate Profile:
- HNC/HND or degree in Construction (preferred).
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar estimating role, ideally in design-and-build, main contracting, or modular.
- Strong numerical and commercial skills, with proficiency in MS Office and estimating software.
- Knowledge of JCT Design & Build and NEC3 contracts advantageous.
- Ability to interpret drawings, schedules, and specifications.
Package & Benefits:
- Salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Working hours: Mon–Thurs 8:30am–5:00pm, Fri 8:30am–4:30pm
- Hybrid working: 3 days office-based / 2 days home-based
- Pension: 4% employee contribution / 10% employer contribution
