About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Barnsley for an experienced CNC Flat Bed Router Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business working a four-day week, offering a great work-life balance and long weekends every week.
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Operator
- Set up and operate CNC flat bed routing machinery.
- Load materials and ensure correct machine settings are applied.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments where required.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Work safely and adhere to all health and safety procedures.
- Assist with general production activities when required.
Candidate Requirements of a CNC Operator
- Previous experience operating CNC flat bed routers or similar CNC machinery.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team.
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
