About the Role
We're recruiting for a Workshop Technician on behalf of a respected commercial workshop in Buckinghamshire. This Workshop Technician position is ideal for someone with experience in plant, HGV, PSV, or mobile crane maintenance who is seeking a stable, workshop-based role with strong long-term prospects. As a Workshop Technician, you'll work on a wide range of plant and crane equipment, supporting refurbishments and carrying out high-quality repairs and servicing. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Workshop Technician looking to join a skilled and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing and repairs to mobile cranes on both a commercial and warranty basis.
- Support the refurbishment of plant and crane equipment within a busy commercial workshop.
- Liaise with customers to agree required works, action points, and expected timeframes.
- Work closely with suppliers to order parts and maintain a strong and accurate parts inventory.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure all tasks are completed in priority order and to high standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Background in plant, HGV, or PSV maintenance.
- Mobile crane experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics.
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop.
