Dimensional Quality Inspector Engineering / Manufacturing | Full-Time | Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Dimensional Quality Inspector to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional with a strong engineering background, a keen eye for detail and the ability to accurately inspect and measure components to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
The Role
- Carry out dimensional inspections of components and manufactured products.
- Ensure products meet engineering drawings, tolerances and quality requirements.
- Use a variety of measuring and inspection equipment to verify dimensions.
- Identify, report and document any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Support quality assurance processes throughout the manufacturing operation.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain high-quality standards.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience carrying out dimensional inspection and quality checks.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
- Competent in using a variety of measuring tools, such as micrometers, verniers, gauges and other inspection equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Desirable Skills
- Experience or qualifications in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).
- Knowledge or practical experience of Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI).
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) experience.
- Any additional NDT qualifications or inspection experience would be advantageous.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm
- Annual Leave: 20 days plus bank holidays
- Full-time, permanent position
