Location: Scunthorpe

Hours: Monday – Friday Rotating Shifts 05.45 – 14.15/ 14.15 – 22.45

Main Responsibilities:

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Providing rapid response to breakdowns when required.
  • Fault finding, troubleshooting and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time.
  • To follow up any faults picked up on PPMs.
  • Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the factory and associated systems.
  • To assist specialist subcontractors' requirements both for PPM and reactive works.
  • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • Ensure Company & Site Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can-do attitude.
  • Complete any other associated tasks requested by the management.
  • Ensure that workstations are kept tidy and well maintained.

Desired skills & knowledge:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Experience on both compressed air and hydraulic systems an advantage.
  • An ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
