URGENT VACANCY: Portable Cabin Fitter – Wales Area

Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Immediate Start Available

We are urgently seeking a Portable Cabin Fitter to join our client’s dynamic and growing team based in Wales. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual to secure long-term, stable employment with a forward-thinking business in the Modular and Offsite construction sector. A permanent position may be offered following a successful trial period.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am – 3:30pm
  • Overtime available when required

Pay Rate

£14.50 – £15.50 per hour

Holiday pay entitlement

Weekly pay

Key Responsibilities

As a Portable Cabin Fitter, your role will include a variety of hands-on tasks to refurbish, assemble, and prepare modular buildings for delivery and installation, including:

  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber to precise specifications
  • Stripping down and refurbishing used modular units
  • Erecting, marking, and fixing timber wall and roof sections
  • Installing plasterboard, sheeting, flooring, and internal panels
  • Performing 1st fix joinery and general carpentry duties
  • Carrying out basic plumbing and electrical fitting tasks
  • Using a range of hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Assisting colleagues with general labouring and assembly work as required

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in a Joinery, Maintenance, or Modular Building role

NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred but not essential)

Confident in using a variety of joinery tools and materials

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Punctual, reliable, and motivated with a strong work ethic

Experience in Modular or Offsite construction is an advantage

Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge is desirable
