Overview
Due to a series of new long-term contracts extending into 2026, our client is expanding their skilled workforce and is seeking four experienced Welder/Fabricators to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated tradespeople looking for stable, ongoing work with consistent overtime available.
After a successful 13-week probationary period of working as a Mig Welder you, you will transition to a permanent position with opportunities for progression and regular overtime at enhanced rates.
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:30pm (39 Hours)
Overtime: Fridays 7.30am-5.30pm ALL AT TIME AND A HALF
Mig Welder Pay Rates
Standard Hours (up to 38 hrs): £15.25 per hour
Overtime (after 38 hrs): £22.88 per hour
Saturdays: £22.88 per hour
Key Responsibilities of a Mig Welder
Carry out Welding and Fabricating on on mild steel components up to 15mm thickness.
Operate a range of fabrication machinery including saws, presses, and grinders.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure high-accuracy production.
Assemble and finish steel structures in line with client specifications.
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Perform general housekeeping and upkeep of the workshop environment.
Work effectively as part of a skilled team to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 1- 5 years of proven experience in Mig welding and fabrication.
As a Mig Welder you will have strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Confident in the safe use of welding equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
Physically fit with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with senior team members and external clients.
A strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
