The Role – MET Technician Responsibilities:
- Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, trim, and body components in line with manufacturer and BSI standards
- Carrying out full vehicle disassembly and reassembly as an experienced MET technician
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults prior to repair
- Removing and refitting engines, subframes, suspension, steering, and braking systems
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently by a professional MET technician
- Completing job cards, damage reports, and repair documentation to a high standard
- Working closely with panel technicians, paint technicians, and estimators
- Maintaining workshop cleanliness and adhering to health & safety standards expected of a qualified MET technician
Who We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as an MET technician
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems and repair methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a bodyshop team
- ATA accreditation (desirable but not essential)
