Venatu Technical Services (VTS) is seeking a newly qualified Field Service Engineer who is looking to start and build a long‑term career within specialist engineering services. About Ventua Technical Services (VTS): VTS provides specialist engineering support to the UK bus and coach industry. We work with leading operators and manufacturers, delivering high‑quality service, repair, and diagnostic support across traditional and emerging vehicle technologies including electrification, hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell, and emissions control.
The Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will attend client sites to support service, repair, maintenance, and diagnostic activities. This role is designed for an early‑career engineer who wants to gain practical field experience while being supported by experienced colleagues.
- Carrying out service, repair, and maintenance work to client specifications
- Supporting diagnostic and fault‑finding activities
- Working safely and professionally on client sites
- Maintaining strong working relationships with client teams
- Learning and developing technical skills through hands‑on experience and training
- Representing VTS to the highest standards at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance or a related discipline
- Newly qualified or early‑career engineers are encouraged to apply
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across client sites
- Based in or around Scotland or Manchester
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
- Professional attitude with good communication skills
Driving requirement: A full UK driving licence is essential. Due to company vehicle insurance requirements, the successful applicant must meet the insurer’s eligibility criteria (typically aged 25 or over).
