We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established and growing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation and customer service.
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched efficiently while supporting internal teams during busy periods. This role would suit a proactive Warehouse Operative who is comfortable with both physical tasks and system-based work.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
- Receive inbound goods, including unloading deliveries from road transport
- Inspect incoming items and process shipments using the SAP system
- Allocate stock to correct locations and support stock order generation
- Maintain accurate stock levels, ensuring correct rotation and condition of goods
- Carry out regular stock checks as required
- Pick, pack and coordinate outbound orders to meet delivery schedules
- Complete basic packing tasks, including the use of hand tools for wooden crates and banding
- Liaise with couriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely dispatch and delivery
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse environment
- Assist the parts sales team with email and telephone enquiries during peak periods
- Support order tracking and delivery updates for customers
- Carry out daily pre-use equipment checks and follow all health and safety procedures
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment
- Working knowledge of SAP, CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Forklift licence preferred
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
- Willingness to learn and adapt within a busy operational environment
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused with a positive, flexible and proactive attitude
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Flexibility required to meet business needs.
Salary and BenefitsSalary circa £26,000 to £28,000 per annum. 33 days annual leave including bank holidays. 5 percent employer pension contribution. Private healthcare. Yearly profit-related bonus.
