We are looking for a motivated and organised Trainee Hire Controller to join a busy hire operation on a temp to perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long term career within the hire industry, with full training provided to the right candidate.

As a Trainee Hire Controller, you will support the day to day hire process, helping to ensure customers receive a professional and efficient service. You will work closely with customers, colleagues and other teams to coordinate equipment and hire requirements while developing your knowledge of hire control and customer service.

The Trainee Hire Controller role would suit someone who is organised, reliable and confident communicating with customers. Previous hire industry experience is not essential, as training will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day to day administration of hire activities
  • Process hire enquiries, bookings and related paperwork accurately
  • Communicate with customers to understand their hire requirements
  • Coordinate hire equipment and support the efficient movement of equipment
  • Maintain accurate hire records and update internal systems
  • Liaise with colleagues to help ensure equipment is available when required
  • Support customers throughout the hire process and deal with queries professionally
  • Help monitor equipment returns and ensure hire information is kept up to date
  • Develop knowledge of hire procedures, equipment and customer requirements
