Fueller / Shunter Job title Fueller / Shunter Location Perivale, West London Salary or rate £15.00 per hour Contract type Temporary with the opportunity to become Permanent Hours or shifts Days 4 on 4 off shift pattern About the role We are currently recruiting for a Fueller / Shunter to join a busy coach and bus depot in Perivale, West London. This Fueller / Shunter role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands on depot environment and takes pride in ensuring vehicles are fuelled, positioned correctly and ready for service. As a Fueller / Shunter, you will be responsible for safely moving buses around the depot, carrying out fuelling duties and supporting the smooth day to day running of the operation. This Fueller / Shunter position offers regular daytime shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern and provides the opportunity to secure a permanent position based on performance. Key responsibilities • Fuel buses in line with depot procedures • Safely shunt buses around the depot as required • Position vehicles ready for cleaning, maintenance or service • Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any defects • Ensure fuel areas and depot working areas are kept clean and safe • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times • Work closely with the depot team to ensure vehicles are available when required • Complete any relevant paperwork accurately Skills and experience required Essential • Full UK Driving Licence • Confident driving larger vehicles or willingness to learn • Good awareness of health and safety • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Good communication skills Desirable • PCV Licence • Previous experience as a Fueller / Shunter, Bus Shunter, Depot Operative, Fueller or Vehicle Mover • Experience working within a bus, coach or commercial vehicle depot What is on offer • Competitive hourly salary • Night shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern  • Opportunity to gain experience within a busy coach and bus depot • Supportive working environment • Permanent position may be offered based on performance • Stable long term opportunity with career progression potential How to apply If you are a reliable Fueller / Shunter looking for your next opportunity in Perivale, West London, we would love to hear from you.
