About the role: We are looking for an experienced MIG/MAG Welder to join a busy production environment for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MIG/MAG Welder to secure a long term position with a full order book and plenty of work going forward.

As a MIG/MAG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high quality welded components on time and in line with required quality standards. The successful MIG/MAG Welder will have a minimum of three years' welding experience and be confident carrying out multi run fillet welds and butt welding using MIG/MAG processes. You will work as part of a team while also being able to work effectively and accurately using your own initiative. Submerged Arc welding experience would be beneficial, although it is not essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out MIG/MAG welding to the required quality standards
  • Complete multi run fillet welds and butt welding accurately
  • Produce components to meet production schedules and quality requirements
  • Work as part of a team to achieve production targets
  • Work effectively using your own initiative when required
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy and workmanship
  • Follow relevant welding, production and quality procedures
  • Support the team in meeting deadlines and maintaining a consistent production flow

Skills and experience required:

Essential:

  • Minimum three years' welding experience
  • Proven MIG/MAG welding experience
  • Experience of multi run fillet welds
  • Experience of butt welding using MIG/MAG
  • Ability to work accurately and consistently to required quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to use your own initiative and work independently when required

Desirable:

  • Submerged Arc welding experience
