We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join the team in Derby on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of Heavy and Light Commercial Vehicles and associated equipment including sweepers and RCVs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV and LCV vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Undertake welding and fabrication work where required
- Work on a range of fleet vehicles including Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) and sweepers
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with health and safety requirements
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota (approximately 1 in 7 weeks)

Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
- Welding and fabrication experience desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
