Pay: Competitive hourly rate

Contract: Full-time Temporary, with opportunity to become Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8 hours per day

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Valeter to join a busy and professional automotive site in Banbury. The site specialises in VW campervans, with a large showroom, vehicle preparation areas, service and aftersales operations and a busy stock of vehicles. As a Vehicle Valeter, you will play an important role in ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard, ready for customers, display and handover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous valeting, detailing or vehicle preparation experience, or for a hardworking individual looking to develop their skills within the automotive industry. The role is initially temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent depending on performance, reliability and suitability for the position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out thorough interior and exterior cleaning of campervans and vehicles
  • Prepare vehicles to a high presentation standard
  • Vacuum, clean and dress vehicle interiors
  • Wash, dry and clean vehicle exteriors
  • Clean windows, wheels, tyres and other vehicle areas
  • Carry out detailed preparation of vehicles prior to customer handover or display
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the site
  • Identify and report any damage or issues found during vehicle preparation
  • Ensure valeting equipment and work areas are kept clean and organised
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Previous vehicle valeting, cleaning or preparation experience is advantageous
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Ability to work to a consistently high standard
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within an automotive, dealership or vehicle preparation environment
  • Experience valeting vans, campervans or larger vehicles
  • Previous detailing experience
  • Full UK driving licence
