Data Migration Engineer (Junior-Mid) | Remote (UK) | £35,000 - £45,000
If you like the idea of your work having a direct, daily impact on thousands of end users, and want that impact to come from doing things properly rather than just quickly, this could be a great fit.
We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, award-winning software company building AI-driven automation tools for people-intensive industries. With around 120 people globally across the UK and US, the engineering team places real emphasis on getting things right, not just getting them done.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of migrating complex customer data into the platform, transforming, validating, and troubleshooting data as it moves, using established frameworks and processes. You’ll start with support and review from senior engineers, becoming increasingly self-sufficient as you build confidence with the migration types and tooling. Where needed, you’ll join customer calls to explain technical points and support delivery, and you’ll help shape the process itself by feeding back edge cases, documentation gaps, and practical improvements to the wider team.
This is a role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys structured, process-driven work: detail-oriented, methodical, and happy in a stable delivery-focused position.
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years' experience
- Previous exposure to customer-facing technical work or integration-heavy environments
- Confidence working with AWS, particularly DynamoDB, S3, containers, and ECS
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Comfortable reading documentation and integrating with unfamiliar external systems/APIs
- Highly detail-oriented, risk-aware, and diligent, someone who checks things thoroughly rather than cutting corners
Culture
This team operates with high trust and high autonomy, you'll be given genuine ownership over your work. In return, it's a culture that values accountability and taking real responsibility for outcomes, rather than close oversight or rigid process-checking.
Why Apply
- Fully remote (UK-based) with flexible working
- MacBook + all the tech you need
- 25 days annual leave + public holidays
- Extended mental health cover & Employee Assistance Programme
- Regular company socials & in-person team hackathons
