This is a fantastic opportunity to join their Group Accounting team, offering high visibility across the business and exposure to both BAU reporting and strategic, project-led work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical accounting challenges while collaborating with teams across multiple regions and functions.
The Role
As a Group Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting group reporting, technical accounting, and global projects, particularly around IFRS 16 and acquisition activity. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across finance, tax, legal, and operations both in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly Group IFRS 16 reporting process, including review and analysis of leases across the business
- Assist in the preparation of technical accounting papers for complex transactions, including acquisitions and non-standard leases
- Contribute to group-wide control processes, including quarterly analysis of IFRS 16 movements and acquisition accounting
- Support the preparation of Group consolidated accounts (interim and annual) and liaise with auditors
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions to deliver high-quality accounting insights and outputs
- Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and transformation initiatives across the Group
The candidate:
- Qualified accountant: newly qualified with up to 1 years PQE, preferably ACA/ CA (SA)
- Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP is essential
- Experience with US GAAP reporting and SOX would be desirable but not essential
- Direct exposure of Leases IFRS 16, Acquisition accounting IFRS 3 and Intangibles assets IAS 38
