A fast-growing European private credit investment manager that provides flexible financing to high-quality mid-to-large cap companies is looking to hire a Group Accountant for their London base team. The group operates in a regulated environment and as the platform expands, the finance function is central to delivering accurate reporting, robust controls, and meaningful insight to support decision-making.
The Group Accountant will join a high-performing team with responsibility across management accounts, statutory reporting, regulatory submissions, and board reporting. This is a broad role with commercial elements and offers exposure to working within a fast-paced investment environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts across group entities with accurate, timely reporting.
- Support statutory accounts preparation under UK GAAP (FRS 102), including audit coordination and year-end close.
- Deliver regulatory reporting (FCA / MiFIDPRU), ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Prepare board packs, including key financials, variance analysis, and performance insights.
- Perform cost analysis, identifying trends, efficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support revenue reporting, including management fees, performance income, and reconciliations.
- Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, control, and efficiency.
The Candidate:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in financial and statutory accounts preparation
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite
- Prior experience within or exposure to the asset management sector
