Job Description
Here at Venator, we are working with a high level tech start up based in London – the company are at the heart of AI Video Intelligence and are on their way to securing Series B funding status.
In terms of applicants – they will generally only look at candidates who have a high level of education – Computer Science Degree from a top tier/ranked University.
The role
We are looking for someone to help us grow our system to meet the user demand. Our stack cuts across many technologies (front-end, backend, edge-computing), and you will be responsible for a large part of our front-end and backend stack.
This Involves
- Design and implementation of new backend APIs and working with the edge team.
- Implementing user-facing front-end interfaces and working with the product team.
- Ensure the system can scale and have full observability.
- Delivering high-quality features, testing them well, and debugging issues.
- This is a 5-days a week in-office role.
Requirements And Experience We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of industry experience and having built systems of reasonable scale
- You should be familiar and have experience with the main backend technologies we use,
- Knowledge of either Python or Go
- Experience with databases Postgres, Redis..
- You should be familiar and have experience with front-end technologies we use (Typescript, React, react-query, build tools, React component libraries)
- It would be great if you also have experience with one or more
- Infrastructure-as-code solutions (we use Pulumi over AWS).
- Mobile development (we use React-native).
- Any experience with platform engineering (C++), or video streaming is a strong bonus but not required.
- High intrinsic motivation to succeed and ability to work hard.
