Here at Venator, we are working with an eCommerce company who have the UK's biggest technology platform - they have a live mobile application as well as a web-based application. The company is now looking to grow!
Please note this is a hybrid role but will require you to be in the office (London) 4 days per week. You will have 20 work from anywhere days added on top which you can use to make some weeks 2 days a week from home. Please also note - sponsorship is not an option here unfortunately.
The role
- As a Frontend Developer, you will:
- Understand complex business problems then propose and implement technical solutions
- Have input into the architecture, working closely with the Head of Technology and other senior team members
- Work with other engineers and the business to improve user experiences
- Bring your experience and enthusiasm to our engineering culture
- Promote excellence with technical mentoring, feedback, and code reviews
- Participate in planning sessions, retrospectives, stand-ups and demos
- Join us in curating a codebase to be proud of, driving for quality, maintainability and testability

- You have built great products for the web and/or mobile
- You have analysed business problems then scoped and built technical solutions to solve them
- You can quickly become productive using our frontend technologies
- You’re excited about understanding the real problems working people come up against and fixing them with technology

- Angular and TypeScript on the client side for our mobile apps and booking flow
- Next.js and React for parts of our marketing website
- Ionic for hybrid and progressive mobile apps
- Bootstrap and Chakra UI for styling
- Cypress for end to end testing
- Python on the server side, using Django Rest Framework for our API and PostgreSQL for our database
- Metabase for analysis and self-serve data exploration
- GitHub, Codeship and Heroku for seamless code review, integration and deployment
- Claude Code for agentic coding
