Our client is a fast growing financial services business offering a diverse range of funding solutions to UK SMEs. With a portfolio that includes Invoice Finance, Asset Finance, Loans, and Asset Based Lending, the company has supported the growth of over 10,000 businesses across the UK.
As part of its continued expansion, the business is seeking a Recoveries Manager to join the Risk division. This is a key role that will report to the Head of Risk, Invoice Finance, and will be responsible for managing higher risk client situations, ensuring effective recovery of funds, and contributing to wider portfolio risk oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritise and manage client facilities that enter a collect out status to maximise recoveries.
- Lead and perform ledger verifications; provide oversight when delegating to additional resources.
- Conduct regular reporting on audit completion status and verification levels.
- Carry out client sampling exercises three months post commencement.
- Conduct internal audits of operational processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Support the Head of Risk in managing intensive care client situations.
- Provide accurate updates on problem cases to assist in maintaining correct bad debt provisions.
- Travel to client premises to collect necessary documentation when required.
- Manage escalated recoveries via legal proceedings, working with panel solicitors at both debtor and guarantor levels.
- Maintain and present monthly updates on the collect-out portfolio.
- Handle client matters fairly, consistently, and in line with the company’s values.
Essential Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Invoice Finance or a similar financial services industry.
- 3+ years of experience in operational and client facing roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with experience in reporting and case management.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Relevant ABFA/UK Finance qualification (Certificate or Diploma) preferred.
