Youll take the lead in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults, supporting day-to-day workshop operations, and mentoring junior engineers. Its a hands-on role that rewards technical expertise, teamwork, and precision.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance, and servicing on forklifts and material handling equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults quickly and accurately
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards
- Manage day-to-day workshop tasks and support operational efficiency
- Mentor and assist junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and best practices
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the workshop
Skills & Experience
- Proven electrical engineering experience ideally with forklifts, plant, or material handling machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge and relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Confident diagnosing and repairing faults independently
- Proactive and solution-focused with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Valid UK driving licence and access to own transport (rural site location)
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
