At Velstar, we build world-class eCommerce experiences for ambitious brands and we want our own brand presence to match. We are looking for a Content Creator to help bring our work, people and ideas to life across video, social and written content.
This is a hands-on role for a creative storyteller who loves making content that gets noticed. If you’re someone who lives on TikTok, Reels and Shorts, enjoys writing, and wants to create content for a market-leading Shopify agency, this could be a great fit.
As a Content Creator, you’ll play a key role in shaping how Velstar shows up online. You’ll create multi-format content that builds brand authority, showcases our expertise, and captures the energy of a fast-growing digital agency. From filming short-form video to writing thought leadership and covering industry events, you’ll help ensure our content feels relevant, credible and engaging.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Scripting, filming and editing short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts and agency showcases)
- Writing blogs, case studies and long-form content that highlights our impact for D2C and B2B brands
- Managing and growing our social channels, engaging with our community and maintaining a consistent brand voice
- Capturing content at industry events and agency moments throughout the year
- Collaborating with the marketing team to plan and execute content ideas
- Helping shape the tools and tech stack used for content creation
What we’re looking for
- You’re creative, proactive and comfortable turning ideas into polished content. You enjoy storytelling, experimenting with formats, and keeping up with what performs on social.
You’ll Likely Have
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating video filming and editing skills
- Strong writing ability and confidence simplifying complex topics
- A good understanding of social platforms and content trends
- A collaborative mindset and positive, can-do attitude
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort in front of the camera as well as behind it
- A degree in Video, Marketing or a related field is a plus, but we value your portfolio and practical skills first.
