We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our global Legal team. This role will support the drafting, review, and management of commercial contracts, corporate management, and related legal documentation across multiple jurisdictions. The Paralegal will assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws, help maintain contract records, and enable the Legal team to deliver efficient, high-quality support to the business. This is a fast-paced business with a lean team. A “can‑do” attitude and a willingness to dig in and figure things out is a must. This is a remote position and may be based in India or the UK, working closely with Legal colleagues and business teams across EMEA, India and the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and triage the Legal inbox, ensuring timely routing of requests to the appropriate counsel or function (e.g. Procurement, HR, Sales, or Finance).
- Assess incoming requests to determine whether Legal review is necessary, redirecting non‑legal matters to business teams as appropriate.
- Coordinate the contract intake and review process to ensure that Legal Counsel has complete, accurate, and properly formatted information before review begins (e.g. statements of work, pricing exhibits, vendor questionnaires).
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Legal team and internal stakeholders for contract status, next steps, and follow‑up.
- Track workflow metrics and identify recurring bottlenecks or process gaps.
Contract Administration & Systems
- Support the drafting, review, and administration of commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, data licensing, NDAs, order forms, and vendor agreements under attorney supervision.
- Maintain and update contract templates, playbooks, and trackers, ensuring consistency, version control, and alignment with company policies.
- Support implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, ensuring that all executed agreements are accurately captured and searchable.
- Monitor contract lifecycles: tracking renewals, expirations, and notice periods, and ensure timely follow‑up with business units.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Partner with Procurement, Sales, Finance, Product, and IT to collect required approvals, supporting documentation, and signatures.
- Communicate contract status updates to business teams in a clear, service‑oriented manner.
Legal & Compliance Support
- Conduct preliminary reviews of data protection, intellectual property, and compliance terms under supervision of Legal Counsel.
- Assist with due diligence, research, and preparation of legal summaries, reports, and risk assessments.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives and in monitoring legal and regulatory developments impacting contracting and data use.
- Provide general administrative and paralegal support to the Legal team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a law degree or paralegal certification preferred, or previous experience as a paralegal in a fast‑paced environment (in‑house or law firm).
- 2‑4 years of experience supporting a legal or contracts function, ideally within a technology, SaaS, or data‑driven organisation.
- Familiarity with key commercial contracting concepts (indemnities, liability, governing law, IP, data protection).
- Experience with drafting, reviewing, and organising legal documents and maintaining contract databases.
- Exposure to international contracting and/or US and UK legal principles is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Meeting tight deadlines with a pragmatic, solutions‑oriented approach.
- Experience with Smartsheets is a plus.
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong time management and follow‑up abilities.
- Collaborative team player comfortable working across functions and time zones.
- Pragmatic, proactive, and solutions‑focused approach.
- Strong sense of ownership, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
