Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Velocity’s UK and EU regulatory and commercial counsel, working alongside the Head of Compliance on regulatory strategy and commercial contract negotiations.
- Act as the primary legal point of contact for UK, EU and other authorities; support responses to supervisory enquiries and investigations.
- Lead on UK and EU and other regulatory authorisations, registrations, and variations; prepare and manage regulatory submissions with the Head of Compliance.
- Lead negotiations with clients on the Client Agreement and other commercial documents.
- Review and negotiate commercially important documents, such as partner agreements and vendor contracts.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, and Risk to advise on the design and launch of innovative payments and e‑money products.
