At Archway Roadmaster UK we offer innovative, cost-effective and environmentally sound processes for fixing road defects. We specialise in road repairs, spray injection patching, pothole repairs, surface dressing and highways maintenance. We're going through an exciting period of growth where we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Road Repair Operator.

Role: You will be the face of the company representing Archway Road Master to clients and the public alike. You will be required to travel around the country fixing potholes for a fortnight at a time before returning home for a long weekend.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Operate the Roadmaster machine and carry out road maintenance
  • Carry out road repairs to the necessary standard and meet client expectations
  • Comply with Health & Safety procedures
  • Ensure the Roadmaster machine is accurately calibrated
  • Assist with minor repairs and breakdowns
  • Inspect the vehicle(s) daily and report faults to supervisors and fleet support
  • Complete all necessary reports (daily & weekly) using a tablet or smartphone
  • Attend pre and post contract meetings

The ideal candidate must:

  • Hold a Class 1 or 2 HGV driving licence
  • Have plant experience preferable
  • Hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) & Digital Tachograph card
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be flexible and have a willingness to work with colleagues, supervisors and management
  • Be prepared to work away from home for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time

Pay rates:

  • Class 1 Licence Holder
    • Basic Hourly Rate – Initial Training Week & Induction week
    • Monday to Friday: £16.45 - Saturday: £21.59 - Sunday: £28.78
    • Once passed all assessments: Monday to Friday: £17.48 - Saturday: £23.13 - Sunday: £30.84
  • Class 2 Licence Holder
    • Basic Hourly Rate – Initial Training Week & Induction week
    • Monday to Friday: £14.91 - Saturday: £19.28 - Sunday: £25.70
    • Once passed all assessments: Monday to Friday: £15.93 - Saturday: £20.82 - Sunday: £27.76

Expenses:

  • Accommodation – Booked and paid by Archway Road Master
  • Meal Allowance – Breakfast £6.50, Lunch £6.50, Dinner £17.50 = £30 tax free
  • Company Van – A company van will be provided with a fuel card

Expected hours: 40 min max 65 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8hr min, Weekend & overtime available (contract dependent)

Work Location: Head office Scunthorpe – Working Nationwide
