About Us

Velocity is revolutionising the global financial landscape by unifying fiat and digital assets through regulated stablecoin technology.

We are tackling some of the most significant inefficiencies in global payments, from the limitations of SWIFT to the cost and delays of cross-border transactions.

Founded by Eric Queathem, with decades of experience scaling and leading payments businesses, Velocity combines deep expertise in regulated financial systems with a fast-growing team across London, Warsaw, New York and Melbourne.

Our platform enables businesses to manage payments, treasury functions, and liquidity in real time, operating 24/7/365.

We remove friction in global payouts, cross-border settlements, and treasury operations, seamlessly integrating stablecoin-powered speed with the reliability of traditional finance.

Backed by robust partnerships, including strategic collaborations with Fireblocks and other leading technology providers, we are building trusted infrastructure for scalable global growth.

We recently announced a $38m Series A led by Dragonfly and First Mark, with participation from QED, Capital One Ventures, Ripple and Coinbase Ventures.

The role

This is a quota-carrying role selling into fintech and payments companies across EMEA, working alongside a growing commercial team in London.

You will sell regulated stablecoin payment infrastructure to payment companies, PSPs, issuers, acquirers, marketplaces, and fintechs.

You will be joining a business with a proven proposition, live customers, and an existing pipeline, but with more market in front of us than we can currently cover.

You will run your own deals end to end, with the support of an existing playbook, a marketing engine that generates real inbound, and senior colleagues who will help you win.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a revenue quota and be accountable for pipeline generation, progression, and closed business across your territory.
  • Build your own pipeline through outbound, network, and events, and convert the inbound and event-generated demand our marketing and BD activity produces.
  • Own the full sales cycle end to end: prospecting, pitching, discovery, solution shaping, commercial negotiation, close, and go-live, often with multiple stakeholders across product, treasury, finance, and compliance.
  • Sell into payment companies, PSPs, issuers, acquirers, marketplaces, and fintechs, tailoring the commercial case to each customer's cost, speed, and liquidity pain points.
  • Drive adoption of Velocity across the EMEA payments ecosystem, working with clear qualification, disciplined pipeline management, and accurate forecasting.
  • Work closely with Product to translate customer requirements into product direction, and feed market signal back into the roadmap.
  • Contribute to the commercial playbook: what works in discovery, which objections recur, how we price, so the whole team gets better.
  • Represent Velocity at industry conferences and events across the region.
  • What we are looking for
  • 4–6 years' experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, with a meaningful portion of that in a quota-carrying closing role.
  • A background in payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure, with a strong working understanding of how money moves and where the cost and friction sit.
  • A demonstrable track record of hitting or exceeding quota, and the numbers to back it up.
  • A growing network across the EMEA payments or fintech ecosystem.
  • Experience selling technical or API-based products to business buyers, with the credibility to hold a conversation with both a treasurer and an engineer.
  • Exposure to stablecoins or digital assets is an advantage, but deep payments experience matters more than prior crypto experience.
  • Nice to have
  • Issuing: issuer-processors, BIN sponsors, and card programme managers, and the funding and settlement mechanics that sit behind a card programme.
  • Acquiring: merchant acquirers, payment facilitators, and ISOs, and where scheme settlement timing, prefunding, and merchant payout cycles tie up working capital.
  • Cross-border and remittance: money transfer operators and remittance providers, correspondent banking relationships, and the cost of holding pre-funded balances across corridors.
  • Banks and EMIs: treasury, liquidity, and nostro management inside a regulated balance sheet.

Why join?

  • Work on a groundbreaking, forward-thinking solution: Be part of a team leveraging cutting-edge technologies to transform the global financial landscape.

We will provide you with a Mac Book and will update them regularly.

We use all the best modern tools, and if you find an even more efficient way of doing something, we'll adopt it.
