Product Data Manager

Velocity Tech has partnered with a large InsurTech business to hire an experienced Data Product Owner for an initial 6‑month contract, live inside IR35. They are based in London and work hybrid – 3 days on site and 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business needs into clear data product requirements.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance standards are embedded across all deliverables.
• Lead sprint planning sessions and actively engage in Agile ceremonies to ensure smooth delivery.
• Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and dependencies.

Experience & Skills Required

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally within data or analytics-driven environments.
• Strong understanding of data platforms, ETL pipelines, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, or regulatory data reporting highly desirable.
• Previous experience in London Markets, insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries is a strong advantage.
