Velocity Tech has partnered with a global engineering consultancy that specialises in AI, cloud, data and modern software development for enterprise clients across multiple industries. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Python and AI experience to join their growing engineering team. This is a permanent remote opportunity for candidates based in Ireland, with regular travel to client sites across the UK and Europe (fully expensed).
The role will focus on designing and building modern AI-enabled applications using Python, working closely with clients and distributed engineering teams on large-scale digital transformation projects.
Key responsibilities:- Building scalable applications using Python and AI technologies
- Working closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Designing APIs, backend services and data storage solutions
- Supporting software quality, testing and deployment processes
- Collaborating within Agile engineering teams
- Contributing to CI/CD, automation and cloud-based environments
- Experience working as a Senior Software Engineer
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience building AI applications / working with modern AI frameworks
- Experience working in cloud environments
- Strong understanding of Git, testing and CI/CD
