The Role
We are looking for three experienced Senior Full Stack Developers to join a high-performing engineering team in Leeds. You will design, build, and scale software on a modern, AWS-native stack, working in an agile environment where clean, secure, test-driven code is the standard.
Core Technical Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate expert-level proficiency in:
- Java & Spring Boot: Strong, production-grade back-end development.
- AngularJS & TypeScript: Building and maintaining robust front-end components.
- AWS (Cloud Native): Hands-on experience with at least three of the following: Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, ECR, API Gateway, S3, Step Functions, or SQS.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop: Write clean, secure, and reusable code using a TDD (Test-Driven Development) approach.
- Architect: Design reusable software components and support integration between internal and external systems.
- Collaborate: Work closely with architects, developers, and product teams in an agile delivery cycle.
- Maintain: Diagnose service faults, maintain infrastructure, and continuously improve production services.
- Support: Provide Level 3 (L3) support, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
Skills & Experience Required
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Infrastructure & Tooling: Proficient with Docker, CloudFormation, GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, and SonarQube.
- Testing Frameworks: Experience with Karate, Gherkin, Cypress, Jest, or similar.
- DevOps: Proven experience in CI/CD pipeline design and operation.
- Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (or higher) is required. ITIL certification is highly desirable.
- Scripting: Familiarity with Node.js, Groovy, and Bash.
