We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a kitchen and bathroom replacement programme on a social housing refurbishment project in Wandsworth. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager looking for a freelance position with full autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site.
The Role
You will take full ownership of the site, managing the delivery of kitchen and bathroom replacements within occupied social housing properties. You will report directly to the Contracts Manager while having the autonomy to plan, organise and manage the works on site.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site
- Managing kitchen and bathroom replacement works from start to completion
- Supervising subcontractors and site operatives
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
- Coordinating trades and managing site logistics
- Liaising with residents, client representatives and other stakeholders where required
- Monitoring progress and reporting back to the Contracts Manager
- Ensuring health & safety, quality and environmental requirements are maintained
- Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
- Managing snagging and ensuring works are completed to a high standard
- Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
- Ensuring the site is kept organised, safe and compliant at all times
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within social housing, planned maintenance or refurbishment
- Previous experience managing kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes
- Strong knowledge of working within occupied residential properties
- Good understanding of health & safety and site compliance
- Excellent subcontractor and workforce management skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The confidence to take full ownership of a site and work autonomously
- Relevant Site Management qualifications, ideally SMSTS
- CSCS and First Aid qualifications
