The Company: Our client is a high-end company that specialise in carpentry/joinery and have been established for over 30 years. Due to continued growth, they have a specific requirement for a Site Manager within their refurbishment and fit out division. They undertake a wide range of projects with customers primarily being in the residential fit out sector.
Key Requirements:
- We are looking for a Site Manager with experience of fit out within the residential sector on projects ranging in values from anything from £500k – 5,000,000.
- We are looking for someone with a joinery/carpentry background.
- Your key responsibility will be to ensure that the project is built safely, economically and within the agreed timescales whilst delivering quality.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that both sub-contractors and resources are allocated effectively.
- To work in close cooperation with the Project Manager and other professional disciplines on all aspects of the construction project.
- Manage Health & Safety and proactively work with the Health & Safety department to ensure standards are maintained.
- To develop and monitor short term works programmes, e.g. area or trade specific.
- To carry out forward planning identifying issues that could affect the programme/project.
- To produce logistic plans and method statements.
- Have a good understanding of M&E systems and their integration with building trades.
- Be conversant with common management technology.
- Be suitably experienced to recognise quality issues on site and be able to implement rectification measures.
- Interpret specifications and ensure compliance on site.
- You must also hold an SMSTS, CSCS, 1st Aid, and Asbestos Awareness as a minimum.
