This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured projects across the North West. Based in Manchester, you’ll support the delivery of schemes across education, healthcare, residential, and commercial sectors, with the majority of projects located locally, minimising regional travel.
You’ll be part of a supportive team environment, working closely with experienced Design Managers and gaining hands-on experience across all stages of the design process.
The Role:
You will work closely with experienced Design Managers, supporting the coordination and management of the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, gaining exposure to high-quality projects and experienced teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the design process across live projects
- Coordinate consultants and subcontractors
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Attend and contribute to design meetings
- Help monitor design programmes and key deliverables
- Support in identifying design risks and buildability issues
What We’re Looking For:
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a Tier 1 environment. You will have:
- Experience as a Graduate Design Manager, Assistant Design Manager, Design Coordinator, or Architectural Technologist with some exposure to construction projects
- Degree or equivalent in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or similar
- Strong technical understanding and attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
