We’re recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established main contractor delivering responsive maintenance services across South East London and North Kent. This is a key leadership role overseeing two long-term frameworks, each with a 4-year duration, offering stability, autonomy, and genuine career progression.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will take full operational responsibility for two contracts:

  • A Damp & Mould remediation programme
  • A Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) works contract

Each contract services approximately 1,200 properties per year, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively. You’ll lead a team of 5 direct staff, while coordinating a trusted and established supply chain of operatives to deliver high-quality, compliant works. This role demands a balance of commercial awareness, operational oversight, and people leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing day-to-day delivery across both contracts, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently met
  • Reporting performance, risks, and progress to the Operations Director
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing your direct team
  • Overseeing subcontractor performance and maintaining strong supply chain relationships
  • Driving quality, compliance, and health & safety standards
