About the Role:
We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level BIM Technician to join our growing digital design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) on a range of exciting projects across civil engineering sectors.
As a BIM Technician, you will support senior team members in the production and coordination of 3D models and digital drawings, while learning how to apply BIM processes in a real-world environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of 3D BIM models using Revit and other relevant software.
- Support in the production of 2D drawings, schedules, and documentation from the BIM model.
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other design professionals.
- Help maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE) and ensure accurate digital record keeping.
- Follow company BIM standards and contribute to ensuring model compliance with client and project requirements.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and assist with clash detection tasks using tools like Navisworks.
- Stay up to date with BIM technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
- A qualification in a relevant field such as Architectural Technology, Construction, Engineering, or Digital Design.
- Basic knowledge of Revit and an interest in BIM and digital construction workflows.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines in a professional environment.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, or BIM 360.
- Understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) is a plus but not essential.
