Day Shift Electrician – Critical Data Centre Salary: £55,000 per annum Location: Croydon / Heathrow Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Contract: Permanent Start Date: ASAP We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a critical data centre environment, working across sites in Croydon and Heathrow. This is a permanent position offering a £55,000 salary, working a consistent Monday–Friday day shift pattern. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical maintenance within a highly critical and technically demanding environment. The Role As a Day Shift Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, ensuring the site remains safe, compliant and fully operational. The successful candidate will be required to travel between the Croydon and Heathrow sites when required, so flexibility and the ability to commute between both locations is essential. Key Requirements * Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications * 18th Edition qualification preferred * Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical qualification * Previous experience in electrical maintenance * Experience within a critical environment or data centre is highly desirable * LV or HV Authorised Person (AP) experience would be a significant advantage * Strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance * Able to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team * Full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to travel between sites Security Clearance Due to the critical nature of the environment, extensive security screening will be required. The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive background screening process conducted by a third-party security screening provider. This will include a minimum of 7 years' address history, alongside further detailed background checks. Candidates must be comfortable undergoing this level of screening and be able to provide the required information and documentation.
