About the Role

An established and highly respected main contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Design Manager to join its growing team based in near Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a design professional looking to develop their career within a business that delivers a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors. You will work alongside experienced Design Managers and project teams, supporting the design process from tender and pre-construction through to construction and project completion.

The role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects, including:

  • Education
  • Scientific and laboratory facilities
  • Industrial, warehouses and studios
  • Build-to-Rent residential developments

No specific sector experience is required. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in design management who is adaptable, proactive and keen to broaden their experience across different project types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management and coordination of the design process across multiple projects.
  • Assist in reviewing and managing consultant and subcontractor design information.
  • Help ensure design information is delivered in line with programme requirements.
