About the Role

Vela Medical Group is working with a GP surgery in the Ipswich area seeking an experienced Prescribing Paramedic Practitioner to join their friendly primary care team on a locum basis.

This is an ongoing contract until a salaried clinician is recruited, offering stability, flexibility, and excellent support within a well-organised practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Run minor illness clinics, managing a range of acute and long-term conditions.
• Carry out home visits and urgent assessments where required.
• Prescribe independently (V300 qualification essential).
• Work closely with GPs, Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, and the wider MDT.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Working Pattern

• Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00
• No weekend or on-call commitments.
• Flexible start date available.

Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Paramedic.
• Independent Prescriber (V300) qualification.
• Experience working in a GP surgery, primary care, or urgent care setting.
• Confident managing minor illness, triage, and home visits.
