As our Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the Finance function by preparing monthly management accounts, managing company credit cards, overseeing the staff expenses process, performing bank reconciliations and assisting in cash flow forecasting. You will be involved in analysing financial variances, maintaining finance systems and engaging in budgeting and forecasting alongside our Head of Finance. This role also offers the chance to develop finance business‑partnering skills by working closely with key stakeholders across departments.
What you’ll do
- Manage company credit cards and the staff expenses process.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash book transactions.
- Assist in the month‑end process, cash flow forecasting, and preparing management accounts.
- Analyse overheads, compare actual spend to budgets, and liaise with managers on financial insights.
- Support costing activities, stock control, VAT compliance, and year‑end statutory accounts preparation.
What you’ll need
- Part‑qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, inquisitive nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective partnerships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP and manufacturing experience is a plus.
