Your role at Veezu: As a People Advisor you will be a pivotal member of the People Team, supporting colleagues with expert HR advice and support. Reporting into a Senior People Partner / People Partner, your journey will involve supporting a wide range of People functions and employee lifecycle activities, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practices while championing an engaging and supportive work environment.

What you’ll do:
- Act as the primary point of contact for People‑related queries within your designated region(s) from colleagues and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Responsible for supporting the People Co‑ordinator and independently managing, escalating and resolving People related queries received through the People Ticket System in a timely manner, with the support of the People Partners.
- Provide support to stakeholders in the acquisition and integration of new businesses into the Veezu Group, where required.
- Support managers with employee relations issues, including but not limited to supporting investigation and disciplinary procedures with managers up to and including dismissal (with prior approval from Senior Management).
- Contribute to the design and implementation of People policies, procedures, and initiatives to enhance the employee experience.
- Provide key support on People‑related projects, including organisational and regional restructures, integrations and change management initiatives, working in collaboration with People Partners and wider stakeholders.
- Support and provide guidance to the People Coordinator on lower‑level employee relation matters, acting as an initial point of escalation.
- Being an administration user of the HRIS system and supporting the People Coordinator on the day‑to‑day administration to ensure accurate HR records and systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Support the onboarding of new colleagues (including the People onboarding induction) and provide a point of contact for initial queries received by new starters alongside the Recruitment team, where needed.
- Building rapport with all colleagues across your allocated region(s)/business units and the wider group and maintaining an approachable and supportive manner.
- Support the People Partners to develop and maintain a supportive and coaching culture across your dedicated region(s)/business units and wider Veezu group.
- Stay up to date with changes in employment legislation and HR best practice, implementing necessary updates where relevant.
- Attending networking and learning opportunities to develop your knowledge and enhance the Veezu brand across your dedicated region(s) and wider Veezu group.

- Ensure fair treatment of customers, passengers, Driver Partners and colleagues and act in a professional manner at all times.
- Follow information security policies and procedures.
- Ensure legal and contractual compliance.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
- Ensure completion of all mandatory training.
- Be willing to support other business areas as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that customer, passenger, Driver Partner & colleagues’ information is safeguarded at all times, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Be committed to maintaining our ISO27001 certification and set high standards for Information Security compliance.
- Maintain information security to a recognised required standard in line with business needs, security policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment and comply with procedures relating to information security.
- Undertake information security training and help your team understand what is required of them under the company’s information security policies and procedures.
- Lead by example and act in compliance with GDPR, the Company’s policies and information security requirements at all times.
What you’ll need:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent HR qualification) and/or relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a People Advisor or similar role, ideally within fast‑paced, high‑growth private sector companies.
- Sound understanding of UK employment law.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate across all levels of the business.
- Proficiency in HRIS.
- Experience in managing and leading on a range of employee relations issues.
- Maintain and develop up to date industry and technical knowledge through regular CPD and educational efforts.
- Travel will be required for this role to your dedicated region(s) and wider Veezu group.
Where you’ll be:
This role will be based out of our Cardiff office, with the expectation that you will travel to and work from our hubs across the UK and Ireland as and when needed for the proper performance of your role.
