About The Company

At VEED, we’re a generative AI company building the AI video creation platform made for social. It’s where millions of marketers imagine and generate branded videos, in minutes. We’re powered by frontier models and VEED Fabric, our own image‑to‑video model. Our APIs also run AI video inside leading creative products. We’re 150 people, $50M ARR, backed by Sequoia. We’re hiring. Come help us make AI videos worth posting.

Where And How We Work

At VEED we are hybrid, enabling teams and individuals to design their day and integrate work and life. We require 1 day a week in office for London, Amsterdam and Barcelona‑based employees and you have flexibility to decide which day.

About The Team

Our team is the engine behind VEED’s state‑of‑the‑art models. We own the GPU infrastructure that powers everything from real‑time video generation to our API platform, and we’re scaling fast. We work at the intersection of cutting‑edge ML research and production engineering. If it runs on a GPU, we’re behind it.

What You’ll Do

  • Deploy and operate our AI models across GPU infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and performance our enterprise customers depend on.
  • Own monitoring, alerting, and incident response, keeping our systems healthy and our SLAs intact.
  • Manage failovers across multiple cloud and neo‑cloud GPU providers, balancing cost, performance, and risk.
  • Build data pipelines that support model training and help us iterate faster on new model releases.
  • Work as a technical peer: contribute ideas, challenge assumptions, and help make better decisions on architecture and tooling.
  • Influence the design of our API platform by suggesting technologies and approaches as we build the infrastructure layer that enterprise customers will rely on.
  • Source creative solutions to GPU availability and cost constraints, working with both major cloud providers and specialist neo‑cloud partners.

Our Stack

Python (primary), TypeScript and Go (cross‑team collaboration). GPU infrastructure across GCP cloud provider and neo‑cloud providers. PyTorch model ecosystem for deployment and serving.

About You

  • Hands‑on with GPUs. You’ve run models, provisioned and managed GPU infrastructure yourself, not just consumed third‑party APIs. You know what it takes to keep these systems running reliably at scale.
  • Strong in Python. It’s your go‑to language. TypeScript and Go are a bonus if you’ve worked across teams.
  • Experienced in DevOps or MLOps. You bring operational rigour across monitoring, alerting, incident response and failover, and you’ve applied it in a production environment with real reliability expectations.
  • Familiar with neo‑cloud providers. You understand the trade‑offs of working with specialist GPU providers beyond the big three: the cost benefits, the risks, and how to manage both.
  • A strong technical partner. You’re comfortable working closely with another engineer, pushing back when you disagree, and contributing to technical decisions rather than just implementing them.
  • Hands‑on with the ML stack. You’ve deployed PyTorch models to production yourself and can handle the common failure modes. CUDA‑level optimisation isn’t required, that’s our performance engineer’s job.
  • Excited by the problem. GPU sourcing is genuinely hard. Cost, performance, and availability constraints require creative thinking. You’re energised by that kind of challenge.

What We Offer

  • Monthly subsidy programme: Different people have different needs and therefore value different benefits. Providing this as a subsidy allows you to have the greatest flexibility to apply to what you value most – whether that be to offset the cost of office furniture, childcare, gym membership, etc.
  • Unlimited paid holidays: We value that you get more time with your family and friends.
  • Home office set‑up: We have an IT Equipment program to make sure your home office is adequately set up with IT equipment including a laptop, monitors, headsets/earbuds, keyboards and more!
  • Mental health benefit: We’ve partnered with Spill to provide all our employees with confidential mental health support.

This role is open at IC3 or IC4 level depending on experience. The salary range across both levels is £76,000 - £119,400 gross per year. The level and offer are determined by the scope of the role and your experience and skills assessed during the process. We do not ask about current or previous salary at any stage.

We think what matters is people. After all, a company is just a group of people. We don’t care about where you’re from, what school you went to or where you worked before. If you’ve done exceptional work, we want to hear from you. Join us on our mission to make creative storytelling with video simple and accessible for everyone.

How to prepare for a job interview at VEED

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If VEED uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
