Overview: Veeco’s manufacturing facility in Somerset, NJ is seeking a Production Coordinator. This role acts as a bridge between management, production staff, warehouse staff, and other colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure materials are available to support factory production requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Final Test technicians, Manufacturing Engineers (MFEs), planners, and warehouse personnel to support daily operations.
  • Ensure tool teardowns and ship along materials are properly bagged, labeled, and handled in accordance with applicable Manufacturing Instructions (MIs).
  • Process excess tool materials and return items to inventory in collaboration with planners and MFEs associated with specific sales orders.
  • Utilize SAP system to execute material transactions, including purchase requisitions supporting production floor needs.
  • Communicate material discrepancies to planners and MFEs, including issues related to tool teardowns and materials credited back to inventory.
  • Maintain organization of Final Test bay material racks, ensuring compliance with manufacturing and 5S (safety) standards.
  • Supply and replenish materials required in each Final Test bay for daily production activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Preferred: experience using SAP.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: specifically, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, prioritization; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
  • Basic understanding of production scheduling.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds.

Salary and Benefits: The expected salary range for this position is $37,300 - $47,300, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay. Other benefits include:
