We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Vulnerability Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and reporting security vulnerabilities across systems and applications, and ensuring timely remediation in collaboration with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vulnerability scanning using automated tools to identify security weaknesses.
- Document and report identified vulnerabilities with clear details and severity levels.
- Analyze vulnerabilities to understand impact, criticality, and associated risks.
- Coordinate with engineering/IT teams to follow up on remediation and ensure closure.
- Execute proof-of-concept (PoC) testing for known vulnerabilities to validate exploitation feasibility.
- Utilize Python for automation, scripting, and enhancing scanning or reporting workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS, Burp Suite).
- Strong understanding of vulnerability types, CVEs, CVSS scoring, and security best practices.
- Ability to analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and business impact.
- Proficiency in Python for automation and tool customization.
- Good communication skills for reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
