We are looking for an experienced Technical Educator and charismatic Trainer to develop and deliver educational video content for our YouTube channel, focused on our CNC software. This role is designed for a creative educator with extensive knowledge of Vectric who can engage audiences, break down complex concepts, and create high-quality instructional videos that attract and educate a wide range of users. You’ll be responsible for building in-depth lesson plans, filming educational videos, and driving engagement through online content.

Key Responsibilities

  • YouTube Video Content Creation: Develop and present high-quality instructional videos covering Vectric software tools, tips, and best practices. Record engaging, clear, and educational YouTube content for audiences of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced CNC users. Act as the on-camera instructor, explaining techniques, tools, and project ideas while ensuring a positive and charismatic on-screen presence. Work closely with the content and marketing teams to create consistent video releases aligned with brand goals and educational standards.
  • Lesson Plan and Curriculum Development: Design and organise detailed lesson plans and content outlines to support both structured video series and one-off tutorials. Create project-based learning modules that guide users through real-world applications of Vectric software. Continuously update the curriculum to incorporate new Vectric features, CNC techniques, and user feedback. Develop scripts, storyboards and instructional materials that ensure clear, effective communication of complex CNC processes.
  • Content Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to define content calendars, release schedules, and topic ideas based on audience demand, trending topics, and new software features. Research, plan and execute content series that focus on popular CNC projects, troubleshooting, and advanced features within Vectric software. Incorporate SEO strategies and YouTube best practices to maximize reach, engagement, and subscriber growth.
  • Audience Engagement and Feedback: Monitor YouTube comments, respond to viewer questions, and actively engage with the CNC community to build a loyal subscriber base. Host live Q&A sessions, participate in online discussions and gather audience feedback to continually improve video content and address common user challenges. Analyse video performance metrics and viewer feedback to enhance future content, improve instructional delivery and adjust topics based on community interest.
  • Continuous Improvement and Learning: Stay updated on the latest Vectric software releases, CNC industry trends, and YouTube best practices to ensure the content is relevant and engaging. Experiment with video styles, new presentation techniques and content formats to keep the channel dynamic and engaging.

Qualifications

  • Required Skills and Experience:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Vectric software (Cut2D, VCarve & Aspire) and practical CNC machining experience.
  • Educational Content Development: Experience in creating lesson plans, tutorials, and project-based learning materials; instructional design experience is a plus.
  • Charismatic On-Camera Presence: Comfortable and engaging on video, with excellent verbal communication and storytelling abilities and able to connect with an online audience to build a loyal community.
  • Audience Engagement: Familiarity with YouTube, understanding of viewer engagement tactics, and ability to foster a community around CNC education.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with YouTube SEO, analytics, and audience growth strategies.
    • Experience in scriptwriting, storyboarding, and content planning.
    • Background in teaching or technical training, particularly in woodworking, CNC, or a related field.
