Role Description
The Skilled Ground Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in Llandudno.
The role involves carrying out groundworks such as excavations, drainage installation, laying foundations, and preparing subbases for paving and concrete works.
Daily tasks include operating tools and small plant equipment, assisting with site preparation and clearance, and supporting landscaping and external works as required.
The Skilled Ground Worker follows site plans and instructions from supervisors, adheres to health and safety procedures, and helps maintain a clean, organized work area.
The role also includes working as part of a site team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
Qualifications
- Valid CSCS or CSCS Card, demonstrating essential site safety awareness and compliance.
- Groundworks experience, including foundations, drainage, and general excavation skills.
- Landscaping skills, such as preparing and finishing outdoor areas, basic planting, and soft/hard landscaping tasks.
- Experience working around trees, including safe working practices and basic understanding of preserving existing vegetation.
- Previous experience in construction or civil engineering environments.
- Ability to read and follow site plans and instructions.
- Strong focus on health and safety and use of appropriate PPE.
- Good teamwork, communication skills, and reliability, with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
