Job Profile
Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Expert – Procurement, Inventory & Warehouse to join their Aerospace Manufacturing SAP Applications team. This role is critical to the successful business-as-usual (BAU) support and continued rollout of SAP systems across their global operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in SAP Procurement, Material Management, Inventory, and Warehouse Management modules and will be responsible for enhancing and supporting SAP systems that underpin supply chain operations. This is a strategic role that ensures operational continuity, compliance, and accurate reporting within the procurement and inventory functions.
Responsibilities
- Act as a core member of a fast-paced, agile team focused on business change and continuous improvement.
- Provide functional leadership and hands-on support in the implementation, deployment, and enhancement of SAP systems, particularly in Procurement, Inventory, and Warehouse Management.
- Serve as a key liaison between the business and technical teams, addressing solution issues, analysing requirements, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Design, maintain, and deploy SAP template solutions aligned with business objectives across related cross-functional modules such as Production Planning and Procurement.
- Facilitate workshops, lead requirement-gathering sessions, and design business-specific solutions.
- Create end-user training documentation and deliver training as required.
- Apply SAP best practices and lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement of business processes and system efficiency.
- Manage process improvements and configurations in collaboration with site process owners, SAP functional specialists, and third-party vendors.
- Own and deliver SAP change requests, BAU tasks, and assigned project activities.
- Produce solution designs, functional specifications, system configuration documentation, and business issue resolution strategies.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record as a SAP Functional Consultant with at least 5 years of experience in implementation and support.
- Strong expertise across SAP MM, WM, PP, IM, and Procurement modules.
- Experience delivering multiple full end-to-end SAP lifecycle implementations.
- Hands-on SAP ECC and S/4HANA knowledge.
- Solid understanding of procurement, materials, inventory, and warehouse management functions.
- Skilled in SAP solution design, configuration, integration testing, and post-go-live support.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Capable of independently managing priorities and delivering to deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with SAP master data management, queries, cross-module integrations, and external reporting tool interfaces.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated experience in coaching or mentoring junior team members.
