Our client is looking for a Modern Workplace Engineer to maintain and improve enterprise-wide workplace technology across a large, public-facing organisation. You will support Microsoft 365, endpoint management, device deployment, software licensing and key business applications, working across Information Services, operational teams, product owners and third-party suppliers. This role is focused on improving service reliability, modernising workplace technology and supporting the move towards cloud-hosted services.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain modern workplace services across Microsoft 365, device management, software deployment and core business applications.
- Provide 3rd line support for incidents, problems and service requests, working closely with service delivery, infrastructure, cyber security and application teams.
- Manage endpoint deployment and device lifecycle activity, including Intune, Autopilot, GPOs, Active Directory and Entra.
- Monitor service availability, performance and system health, producing reports and recommending improvements.
- Support the selection, testing and delivery of new workplace technologies and software services.
- Maintain documentation, technical roadmaps, licence records and service asset information.
- Coordinate SaaS suppliers, hosting providers, upgrades and service enhancements.
