Are you an Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys variety, ownership, and being at the heart of IT operations? We’re looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on, user-facing role and wants to grow across both infrastructure and cloud technologies.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and evolving a robust IT environment within a fast-paced SME. This is a highly collaborative, visible position where you’ll support both systems and users—no silos here. You’ll work across a broad tech stack, contributing to projects while keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain SME-scale IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security
  • Manage Windows domain environments (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, core networking)
  • Provide hands-on endpoint and user support, including walk-up and escalated issues
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services (Entra, Defender, Endpoint Manager, Intune, Autopilot, Teams, Exchange Online)
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects and group initiatives with minimal disruption
  • Apply IT security best practices to protect systems and data
  • Use tools like Secureworks, Sophos Taegis (or similar) for monitoring and response
  • Balance multiple priorities in a busy, open-plan environment
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure support (SME preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, domain management, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 admin tools (Entra, Defender, Endpoint Manager, etc.)
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (Intune, Autopilot)
  • Understanding of IT security principles, threats, and mitigation
  • Exposure to telephony systems (currently important, may evolve)
  • Comfortable in a user-facing role with regular walk-up support
  • Able to handle concurrent tasks without losing focus
  • A mindset beyond the “MSP ticket queue”—you take ownership
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn across infrastructure and cloud
  • Someone who values breadth over siloed specialisation
