Infrastructure Engineer

Partner | Resourcing & Improvements Manager @ Vector ResourcingOur client is seeking an Infrastructure Documentation & Support Engineer to join their busy infrastructure team during a critical period of transformation and compliance enhancement. This role will play a key part in ensuring that the organisation\’s infrastructure is fully documented and compliant with the Network and Information Systems Regulations.

The successful candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time producing and validating technical documentation, working closely with infrastructure engineers to capture accurate configurations, processes, and standards across the environment. The remaining time will involve assisting with 3rd line support activities and contributing to key infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the documentation of the organisation\’s infrastructure to ensure compliance with the NIS Regulations.

Work collaboratively with Infrastructure team members to understand system builds, configurations, and dependencies.

Develop clear, comprehensive documentation for infrastructure components, policies, and procedures.

Assist with 3rd line technical issues, providing expert-level support to 1st and 2nd line teams.

Maintain configuration records, diagrams, and operational manuals.

Ensure all documentation is stored, version-controlled, and easily accessible to the wider IT function.

Identify opportunities to improve documentation standards, templates, and governance.
