We are searching for a Lead Data Engineer who will be crucial in driving the development of high-quality data engineering and AI operations solutions. This role involves implementing our Data Engineering strategy, enhancing our data ingestion processes, and leading a team of engineers to deliver robust, scalable systems.
Working closely with both the Head of Data Engineering and the Project team, you will ensure technical specifications are clear, development best practices are upheld, and architectural standards are met across the board.
Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership across data engineering and AI operations projects, setting the standard for engineering quality and delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering an environment of learning and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Head of Data Engineering to implement and uphold the strategic direction of the engineering function.
- Design and maintain clear architectural documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Define and implement testing frameworks for data validation and transformation processes.
- Translate complex solution designs and project objectives for non-technical stakeholders with clarity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly research, to support product ideation and experimentation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation around development standards, testing protocols, and code review processes.
- Support the Project and Scrum Master teams in developing technical specifications and establishing clear definitions of done for user stories and epics.
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices across the software development life-cycle.
